最近大家总是会说到“尴尬到脚趾抓地”“尴尬到脚趾蜷缩”,在各大影视剧的弹幕上也频频出现这样的吐槽,那么所谓的“尬到脚趾抓地”其实就是形容尴尬,羞耻等情绪。
那大家知不知道“尴尬”用英语怎么说呢?让我们一起来学一学吧~
1.awkward 尴尬的;笨拙的;棘手的;
▷He wished them "Good morning" in anawkwardhesitating undertone as if he were doubtful how his greetings would be received.
他尴尬地向他们问好,声音很低,又有些犹豫,好像担心他们会不睬他。

2.embarrassing 令人难堪的,羞愧的

昨天晚上撞见其中一个前女友真是让他尴尬。

他对她原只怀着感激的心情,他今天的幸福是从她那里得来的,可是遇见她总不免有些尴尬。
3.cringeworthy 令人难堪,感到不适的,难为情的
▷It was acringeworthyperformance from start to finish.
从头到尾这真是一次叫人不舒服的演出。
